when I first got tinnitus 15 months ago It was described as a roaring ocean seashell sound. That went away for a month and I had a annoying quiet hissing sound which I thought I had because of the fluid still behing my ear drum. Now the Ocean seashell sound I had from the start has come back. Is that normal for sounds to change?

Yes. But know if it went away once, it can go away again.

Why do sounds change? Is it some sort of alert or is it normal with tinnitus and middle ear effusion?

it's perfectly normal, the neurons hyperactivity is simply perceived in another way.

Another question, can your T change location? Was mostly in left ear now right as well and sometimes seems from instead my head rather than ears,

      Hi Lisa, yes i do.

Hot ears, it's so weird because i don't only hear my Tinnitus, but also feel it!. Burning ears, eardrum flashing pain, cracking sound, eye pain, red cheeks. What type of sound do you hear?, do you have more physical symptoms?... my sound is a high pitchen ringing, like 13Khz if you hear it in one of those frequency sounds youtube videos.

Sometimes it is what bothers me the most, the physical uncomfortable feelings. Most of the time Tinnitus just does not bother me, and i can hear it over most environment sounds... but the pain and sensations, and the hyperacusis, those really bother me sometimes.
