I felt like my spike was permanent, and clearly something's changed, but from what I've red online a spike can last up to 3 months. So mine might still be heading towards baseline, and there's a good chance yours will still calm down.

Yeah I'm glad to say after 2 weeks it settled down. It's now slightly louder, and i also have it in my right ear now too. So it seems it spiked, and left me with more than i had. I can cope with how it is now though. It's scary to realize just how loud it can get though. How are you getting on?
