Love to write, perform, record and listen to music...
Loath the obstacles that hyperacusis and tinnitus have presented to my enjoyment of music. I suffered an acoustic trauma when a feedback loop was generated between a microphone and a large p.a. which I was standing right next to. The tinnitus I now have as a result is certainly not enjoyable but the hyperacusis has proved to be life-altering. I'm hear to share as well as discover any useful information that can aid in relieving and perhaps even curing hyperacusus and tinnitus. I've seen a state certified audiologist who clued me in on how the brain and ears work together and how deep breathing and meditation was my best option for tinnitus and that my hyperacusis might go away, however my chiropractor proved to be much for insightful and suggested that in conjunction with meditative exercises I should use mullein oil ear drops, take plenty of high quality fish oils and vitamin c, utilize binaural beats and tuning forks as well as experiment with acupuncture. I've only just began taking the ear drops and supplements and I plan to acquire tuning forks, locate a suitable binaural beat website and find and acupuncturist very soon! I use ear plugs when making/listening to loud music as well as at Baseball games and when I use my blender. I have Westone 49's but I don't like how they feel in my ear even though they are custom molds, I prefer the cheap Hearos brand that you can buy at the grocery store. I look forward to exchanging information with you!
