Now 10 years from the start of T for me. Salicylates play a major factor in the noise level. When it's loud it stops me being able to think. May 12, 2022

Nine years since it began. Food high in salicylates, salt & lack of sleep bring it on. Get the balance right & it disappears.

Op that may help to correct 'bite' coming up. The general - drugs- jaw stretched open - neck etc. God knows what it will do to the t volume.

Fewer quiet days now... yesterday loud - today silence. Hoping, but not really believing anymore, that one day it may disappear forever.

More quiet days and absolute silence now I've worked out the diet that T doesn't like... My jaw & Tmj may have a lot to answer for...

I have read a lot of your posts from a while back when you were chatting to Louise. I have only just got this horrible T and can see that yours has all but gone. Mine is buzzing away and making me unbelievably unhappy. You are making me think that there might be a glimmer of hope for me too...

Almost all of the time, it's gone. Still have the morning buzz tho! And rarely - it's there for longer.

I think I have had times where it has gone - or it has been very low. Am glad that you are doing very well. Hopefully soon I will feel like I am on cloud nine too! Thank you for replying.

Hi citigirl - no, it was never constant. It came and then at times went away completely.

Hi. I've noticed that your T has more or less gone. Was yours there constantly and then it went or did it already come and go?

7 days of almost nothing. For me, diet is controlling the noise level & I am happy :)

T came back & screeched yesterday. Today it's lower. But at least I'm not blaming Cornwall (for now...)

After 3 and a half days of screeching it is now very low - there... but in the distance. Perhaps the effect of gammon (salt!) has worn off.

T is now almost non-existent or not there most days. Morning buzz is also so much quieter. It's been 1 year & I'm trying to forget about it.

Sulphites seem to really affect the volume of my T. Now designing a virtually sulphite free diet to see what happens ...

Yesterday gone again - today hardly there. Back to believing that silence caused it rather than blocked eust tubes etc etc...

    Tinnitus Since:
    06/04/2012
    Cause of Tinnitus:
    Not sure
No obvious reason for T start. No depression, no loud noise. Thought it was due to silence at night after moving to thick walled granite cottage in Cornwall. Now think it may be jaw, TMJ, teeth, facial/neck nerves.

One day loud, next day gone - wakes me up at 5am & then lets me sleep all night. What the hell?
