      Hi Tomm. Thanks for following me. Maybe you can help keep me out of trouble here. :-) I've had tinnitus for about 17 or 18 years now, but know practically nothing about it other than stimulated nerves. I've had my current doctor, a biomedical engineer, for 10 years, and every time I've mentioned tinnitus he never addresses it. It's as if I never said anything about it.

      Hi Tomm, I am also from London and I sent my application to the trial in The London Guy's hospital. How long does it take until they get back to me at all? I am waiting but considering to go to my country because it seems more flexible.. I could not even talk to a doctor in the UK over the phone..so disappointing.

    Cause of Tinnitus:
    Acoustic trauma (club drumming)
    How: noise induced, live samba drumming inside a club (~4-5 hours)
    What: high pitched constant whine bilateral T, as loud as a normal conversation. Painful H for normal loud sounds (stacking dishes, banging doors)
    Impact: moderate, decreases concentration on work and interferes with day-to-day relationships, no more meeting in crowded bars or noisy cafes
