Dilemma: NUCCA believes fixing neck will fix the lower body, PT believes fixing the pelvis will fix neck. I need to decide. Who to believe? Nov 28, 2021 at 11:15 AM

Its back sadly, the dry needling helped relax my muscles though- and lessened my T.

The "Postural Rehabilitation Institute" is a great resource for those looking to fix any posture imbalances.

These can worsen T, something about the SCM pressuring the nerves which control the auditory system and giving off bad signals. It's whats causing my T and overexcited TMJ. Gl.

Simply fixing the pelvic tilt by stretching tight muscles and strengthening weak ones wont work. You also have to breathe on the weaker side

Took eperisone (a muscle relaxant) before I went to sleep earlier. Felt so good for my jaw to actually relax.

So there are two lines of thought atm- its either my pelvic imbalance or my SCM muscles pressuring my C spine, causing the T.

Need this fixed ASAP lol. Have been reading too much and there's a possibility of permanent nerve damage- oof. Stay strong all and gn.

Going to sleep with a better plan. Fix my pelvis posture then when neutral, fix my forward head posture. Which will hopefully fix my TMD + T

Predicament: Get a splint to correct my jaw or correct my overall posture first? wont getting a splint just force my body to badly adapt?

This is exactly what I think. I feel like the splint is just lessening the symptom, not solving the problem.

The new predicament now here is: how am I going to fix posture? NUCCA chiro only does upper cervical AFAIK but in my opinion, the problem is also with my pelvis. I'm going to the PT tom but they don't specialize in these types of things- they're more for pain relief. I also still don't have a CT scan, which I hope I can get on Sunday.

I'd go for another PT, but I haven't found any yet who specialize in posture correction. Will ask the PT tom to evaluate my posture still however.

I think it's important to keep in mind that somatic tinnitus is solved by moving back and solving the causes of T.

Current plan is "Fix posture + C1/C2/C4 = Fix TMD/T/Throat"

Upper spine? Your head moves forward to maintain center of gravity if pelvis is too backward. It allows you to breathe but suboptimally in the sense that you're probably not using your diaphragm.

Not sure why you get forward head problems if you have a anterior pelvic tilt but they're most likely inter connected.

        duck feet eh?

well the upside is, ducks, like many birds, can regrow CHCs; so maybe your partial duck DNA can help you with your tinnitus.

Probable causes of unilateral somatic tinnitus are: Pelvic imbalance, bad posture, etc. Consequences: TMJ, T, Headache. Age: 17.

Welcome To TT, good news is that Somatic Tinnitus is most likely can be corrected and even resolved completely, you are lucky in this sense that you didn't give yourself any sort of acoustic trauma, tho you still better proceed with caution around loud noises: avoiding too noisy places, wearing protection. Find some exercises to improve you posture, I'm sure it will completely subside for you ^^
