I have only recently been experiencing tinnitus... for about 2-3 weeks now. It is like a CONSTANT very high-pitched ringing that seemed to start on the right side only, but now seems to be just "in my head". The volume ebbs and flows some, but it is always there. I do sometimes feel light headed. (not dizzy... the room isn't "spinning") The last couple of days I have had a mild/moderate headache that is in my temples and sometimes at the base of my neck. I just saw a nurse practitioner yesterday and she said I did have a little fluid in my right ear. (but I don't have any hearing loss/ear pressure) She prescribed Prednisone for 5 days... I am only on day 2. It hasn't made any difference... maybe I haven't given it enough time. I would just like to know if anyone else has had these same symptoms and could offer some advice as to what I should do next. (assuming the steroid doesn't work) My mind is going in all different directions... brain tumor? Nerve damage? I haven't been exposed to any really loud noises that I am aware of, so I'm not sure where this is coming from. Any help or advice would be really appreciated!
