Update: No spike, but intermittnent pain in left ear. So tired of this crap. Of course they had to test the fire alarm at that EXACT moment

I feel you on this one. Right before COVID shut down my company, I had to move a meeting to a room in a new building. The bldg manager just happened to be testing the fire alarm the exact same hour I had the meeting. They're supposed to notify people when the alarms are tested. This guy didn't. Idiot! Totally distracting!

Thanks, @Steph1710. Just worried because I was in the break room. It actually happened twice, the second right after I made the post. I usually wear my earplugs at work but I was eating lunch. :(. So frustrating.

Since I was 9, I have always had a dog. Dogs really are the coolest. And now I have to play with mine in earmuffs because she is very prone to barking tantrums. Maybe this is a FWP, but I hate the thought that after she is gone, I probably won't have an other puppy.

@tbuzz89 yeah, for real. I have many friends with mild tinnitus and they just never, ever talk about it. Wasn't until I brought it up that I found out. It seems I was one of those rare people who knew the dangers and protected my ears with plugs + kept volume genuinely moderate at most. Just proves that even that doesn't save you.

It's difficult getting started on eating healthy, especially if you have a sweet tooth. I still eat some chocolate most days and even ice cream, but have cut back greatly. No need to go all or nothing to begin with, be nice to yourself. Are you exercising? It's helping me a lot.
