I have been suffering from Tinnitus since childhood. Motions sickness and fear of "feeling endless rotationary movement" which occasionally prevents me from falling asleep, as well as an acute case of Vertigo are also among my handicaps.
Although my tinnitus, comprising of 2-3 distinct whistles and rumbles, has subsided greatly over the past few years, it tends to return with vengeance on occasion.
My primary method to fight back has been to beat the sound by a higher volume of music or white noise. Once asleep, I do not wake up, which is a blessing.
Also, "acceptance" has been the order during the best part of last 40 years or so. I would whole heartedly recommend fellow sufferers not to succumb to depression because of it. Take appropriate antidepressants if you have to, but never give in to this ailment.
Good luck to all...Interact
