Having TMJ pain on the unaffected side (left side). I found out that too much vitamin C can worsen joint pain. I drank 600 mg vitamin C...

or sometimes 1000 mg since the end of May. I must cut back on vitamin C. I'm eating more salad than before I don't need supplements.

The loudest door slam ever - I estimate it to be ~110 db. I was 6 meters away. Now buzzing! Also still buzzing since last Sunday.

How loud are the speakers in church supposed to be? I used to go with earplugs after my acoustic trauma. Went last Sunday without earplugs and I'm still buzzing. The readings where between 76db and 83 db.

What a busy neighborhood. 10 Fireworks - 80 - 90 db, an ambulance 95 db from outside. And a party that has its subs at a concert level.

The previous summer I was prescribed a shampoo for dandruff and dermatitis which I found out today that it had salicylic acid in it. Nice!

I put it once a week that was for 2 months but combined with a deodorant that I used at the time ( which had propylene glycol in it) I guess they have prepared the ground for tinnitus. The same ingredient is the main ingredient in NSAIDS , Acetaminophen and Aspirin. Wondering why they put it in drugs? I used this shampoo last week because I have a flare up again due to dry weather. My ears are definitely not happy.

NSAIDs and Acetaminophen must put a warning for tinnitus and hearing loss on the packet or in the leaflet inside.

The usual consequence that I heard about NSAIDS was stomach problems. Really surprised to find out hearing loss. I guess I will see mine on an audiogram in 5 - 10 years.

I've been using more ibuprofen in 2016 for Trigeminal Neuralgia - when I had severe attacks that when left untreated went on for hours (trice a week). I've asked my doctor if they were safe to take and he said yes. Nothing else helped with the pain. I never used ibuprofen for my periods except from September 2017 until November 2017 (twice on the week of my period) when I had terrible periods.

Also, I have used ibuprofen in February 3 times a week for 2 weeks due to pharyngitis and ear infection. -- this was 2 weeks before my acoustic trauma. I regret for not eating enough food and drinking enough water in these 2 weeks.

I've been to 3 ENTs. The last one found pressure behind my ears and gave me saline rinse and decongestant. I said that I can't hear pretty well but it was brushed off. I still have pain on my face/cheeks, hear like I am underwater, ETs pop like crazy and of course tinnitus.

my ears go insane. 2 nights ago, I just sipped some red wine (30 - 50 ml) and after these I had intense flushing, increased tinnitus and dizziness. I modified my diet in the last two weeks to be more prediabetes friendly but my ears are not happy.

Carbon monoxide, apart from poisoning and other symptoms, can aggravate deafness in potentially hearing impaired persons hence gas water heater, barbeque, oven, charcoal heater (kangri in Kashmir), room heaters and electric generators should be avoided in closed rooms.

Butyl or ethyl acetate transfluthrin used as insecticide/mosquito repellent must not be used with door & window closed and should never be used in airtight air-conditioned rooms due to risk of chemical toxicity and deafness Spray perfumes should be discouraged in potential patients.

Everyone commented on how loud were yesterday's thunders. Even older people told that it were the loudest they have ever heard. It was loud, I didn't thought of it too much but I've spiked today and hear a little quieter on the affected side. These summer rainfalls are unpredictable.

I realized that I had extreme dizziness episodes for the past 3 years the point where people asked me if I was ok.
      1. cspc
        cspc
My answer was I am ok because I thought it was tiredness or fatigue. I remember 3 years ago, I was dizzy everyday in spring and the gp ordered blood tests. Nothing was found to explain the dizziness. They told me, it was stress. Now, I realized it was allergies (dust mite, mold, gluten, lactose). I had no tinnitus or hearing issues at the time only balance problems.

I guess it's from my period, low ferritin, some noise exposures that I had 6 - 10 days ago and from using the hair dryer to dry my ears from water/sweat ( 10 - 15 secs each ear). I still use the hair dryer because I have dermatitis in my ears and they should be dry to prevent outer ear infections.
