Good morning everyone! I hope everyone had a nice rest and is feeling a little better today. How's everyone doing?

Hello hello. My sleep hasn't been too good. Hopefully I'll get better sleep tonight. Ryan, wow, 3 hours a night, that's rough. Are you trying different things to see what might help?

Pt. 2 So it may feel like you're worsening whereas really it's just the condition showing itself with time. I found the first 3 months to be the hardest. Hope that helps a little!

Or at least that's been my experience!

It's tough to say how long my symptoms took to even out because during the first few months I was testing my limits, so to speak - as I think all of us do to one extent or another as we come to learn what we're dealing with.

In particular, I experimented a lot with sound therapy (artificial audio), & that gave me small & a bit of a larger setback before I came to the conclusion that it really wasn't the best thing for me at the time. So I'm not really sure what would've happened if I avoided that.

So yeah, it can be tough, but I sincerely hope you'll be able to figure out something that works for you soon! Sending many hugs!

Hey! Have seen some of your posts & just wanted to say hello as a fellow hyperacusis sufferer with relatively recent onset :) I noticed you mentioned in one of your posts that you believe your hyperacusis is worsening, & I wanted to let you know that based on my experience & from what I've read of others' experiences, it takes a while for the condition to 'set in.'

Thank you so much for the comfort. Yeah at the beginning (a couple weeks ago) it was no biggee, but yeah I feel like now it's getting a bit too severe, sound cuts through double protection. Sometimes I can't even hear the sound, like a lawnmower off in the distance, and it causes a little pain. I know I have some pain, but it also feels like loudness as well, since I'm double protecting 24/7.
