Hand dryers in public toilets. Wow! They’re the worst. I heard a little girl complain to her mum once that the dryer hurts her ears. The mum told her not to be silly and to get on with it. Poor girl :(

Sorry to hear that. It may or may not go away. Hopefully you don’t get worse. I will say that there’s a good chance it lowers and you’ll habituate. With each trauma it gets harder to. Hang in there buddy!

I hope so, too! It's devastating when, just when you've sorta, kinda, in a way learned to live with your tinnitus, a new noise comes along and put you back to square one.
Try masking, if you can. I know it gets to you in a different way, when you have to do it 24/7 but try giving your head something else to focus on.

Yeah, all of these test have been created with people suffering from hearing loss instead of extra sensitivity to external noises in mind. My high-pitched noise got unbearable for a while when my ENT played it back at me for some test. It went back to normal, though, so hopefully your electrical pulsing will go back to baseline, too.

Sound only started to bother me in the beginning of last year. I've no idea what happened but I woke up in the middle of the night on day to the sports plane and reactive tinnitus and hyperacusis. The reactivity feels as if my eardrum doubles as a tambourine that reacts to certain sounds and amplifies them.

It used to be really painful for the first 6-9 months but got a little better with time. I still can't listen to the radio or TV or talk on the phone for long because speakers seem to really aggravate things. But at least I'm fine with the sound of my own voice again, most of the time :)

Hi, how are you? I was thinking of doing mushrooms for the psilocybin too. Liberty cap mushrooms are supposed to be the best, ive bought a book on it. Psilocybin is an up and coming anti-depressant by the sound of it and they are also using it in New Zealand for a tinnitus therapy study.
