Hello, Tinnitus Talk.
I am a tinnitus researcher and hope that my work can make a difference.
I don't have tinnitus myself, but have spent the last 11 years on research in this field and have only some idea of what it must be like.
Last year I obtained my PhD in biomedical engineering from Monash University for my thesis that describes the auditory scene analysis (ASA) model of chronic tinnitus. I am also a founder of tinaway - where we seek to run a clinical trial of a medical device app running on iPAD platform. The tinaway app is based upon the ASA model of chronic tinnitus.
My "day" job is in drug development and human therapeutics - I believe good science can make our lives better.
I am happy to answer any questions about the ASA model of chronic tinnitus and why I believe it is important.
