Yet as time went on, even if the tinnitus gets louder, it really isn't that bothersome? Maybe it is because I have so many other health symptoms that are worse an annoying hitch frequency and pitched ringing ear that caused me to learn how to sleep on the other ear it just is an added annoyance?

I have had it for over six years, 24 hours a day, 365 days a week. It is confusing to me because also suffer from hyperacusis and tinnitus normally results from hearing loss. I used to laugh to myself and say it was a beautiful woman who was always singing to me as a way to cope. It is a healthy way to cope and I suggest you try it if you are struggling with the constant ringing.
