James your T is still very new. You shouldn't assume that you will be stuck with what you are hearing now. Have you experienced any improvement compared to February?

No only worse. Too many tones. I feel mine is very similar to how @InfiniteLoop describes his Tinnitus but both ears. I probably won't see fading. It really is hell.

Have you been protecting your ears from moderate noises like that of a vacuum cleaner? Are you sure you aren't taking any ototoxic medications?

Hang in there. Just a little bit longer. That's what I do - if only I can survive this day, if only I can survive this week. That works for pushing it. But it's hard not to hate your life most days. At the end, quality of life matters. But so does survival. Arggghh.

        Hang in there mate!

@James1977, I am really sorry to hear that. My T is also reactive, but given I am staying so much in silence lately, it calms down a bit. I just bear it in the office, and try to focus on work.
Are you taking anything for sleep? That seems tough.

I have reactive T that sounds like surging electric during the day. At night when it calms down, it can lose the static and become a bit whirley. I do get some beeps and clicks at night at times. I also get a whistle on top of some sounds part of reactive T. It's really bad. 2 months ago it was only crickets in my left ear. Those were the days!

My T spiked after a small project but I blame a couple tympanograms and sound therapy for most of these new sounds. I really should have stayed home instead of going Dr to Dr in a panic.

Not well. I seem to have H that causes my T to become very loud. Fans, water, motors are bad. Normal places like grocery stores exhaust my tolerance. Anxiety has become very bad.

Saw an ENT yesterday, I thought I had EDT, sent me off to get a tympanogram. It came back clean. I'm totally in an electric hiss now.

It never gets easier. I so hate this thing. The theory is it shouldn't do harm, but there are so many horror stories on this forum. I wonder if the stress cause the spike. I wish you the best in your decision.

Oh, bummer. :( I take Claritin every now and then and I have never noticed a spike when I take it? I have been taking allergy shots for almost 3 years now and they help. Hope you feel better soon.

Interesting that you got T from IMAX.. They shouldn't be playing things that loud. Why do they get away with this. Surely it is feasible to sue over it.

Yeah know... I just didn't connect the dots for a long time. Now it's been 5 years, its probably too hard to prove that long ago, even if the limitations haven't ran out.

Absolutely, i honestly think venues and places like this should LEGALLY have to provide awareness at minimum..
Theatres should be regulated in regards to sound output.
