For almost a year now, I've had tinnitus full time in my right ear and intermittently in my left (mainly when my head is resting on a pillow). It's been a big life adjustment trying to cope with the reality of this and still can't understand how there is no cure.

Probably like most people on this site I've had an MRI done, seen a hearing specialist, TRT, ENT specialist (not very helpful, and think they should drop the 'E' from there title), tried all the remidies found online (chiropractor, acupuncture, cranial sacral, all the pills and ear drops you can imagine with no success). I am new to this site, so will likely be reading everything before I talk to much. But the main things I'm trying to get back in my life are travel and socializing/dating. Both of which feel impossible to do now. If anyone has advice, if this is even possible, it would be greatly appreciated.

I gauge the loudness of my ringing on a scale of 1 to 10. Most days I'm at a 7 out of 10 and for the 16 hours I'm awake I notice it for about 15 of those hours. Days it's a 4 I may only notice for 2-3hrs of the day, but these days are rare. Anything being a 8+ I am basically doing the prep work to check myself into a mental institute because it feels like I'm going crazy. I'm guessing the military has already figured out that this is a good form of torture if they need to interrogate anyone.
