I believe a doctor may have been the cause of it, as I had an infection and he nearly sent me through the roof with an instrument to remove wax, I think that is what he was doing. It has been many years. Couldn't prove it of course. Basically affects left ear, which I have many problems with. Practically no hearing out of it, and lately I have been getting infections in it. It is louder at night and sometimes I can't sleep. I haven't really tried anything to mask it yet, but I will try the masking download the site sent me. I find that if I lay off soda and coffee it is much quieter. I hope to find some relief and peace in learning how better to deal with this from being on this site. Thanks.Interact
