- Tinnitus Since:
- 2003
- Cause of Tinnitus:
- a loud noise
A small balloon was popped across the room. Suddenly my left ear began ringing loudly.
My first reaction, for over a year was mostly anger and why did this happen to me?
I had always been sensitive to loud noises, only attending 1 concert and leaving because it was too loud.
In the last 2 years, clanging dishes (happening several times), or toilet lids falling loudly have caused my hearing to sound like a damaged speaker, and my own voice when spoken sounds tinny. It is really annoying, even more than the buzzing and ringing noise, because I love music and now the sound is not clear and true.
I have accepted my condition and most of the time it doesn't bother me in a drastic way. I listen to a sound machine to help me sleep at night.Interact
