Tinnitus is becoming more high pitched in left ear. Right ear developed a low hum/roar.

Firstly, I had my T in my right ear and one month later the left one has been affected too for no reason. It comes and goes in my case. So do not worry, I don't think anything serious happened! Hang on :)

Who knows, many people say it's good. I too think that a constant, unrelenting tone for example has less chance to go away. But that's just a hunch

I think I might have one ”good day” per week, the rest are just unbearable.

Chances are good that you will get more of these better days, and with time there will be more good days than bad

@HeavyMantra It is what you have. If your tinnitus reacts to the sound and certain kind of food and drinks, that is reactive tinnitus. Better stop listening to music if it spikes your tinnitus as it wll be bad in the long run. Your ears need rest. For some people, nothing spikes their tinnitus, and I am lucky to be one of them. Hope you get better soon.

Never reacts to anything but music. And always the day after. I get the same spikes without music, but I always get them the day after music. I just don't know why music spikes it, I expose myself to way louder sounds without problems.

I got my old life back 8 months after the onset. Major improvement came at 23 month mark. Nowadays, after 31 months, it has become a wisper that I don't even know is there. Sometimes I hear it in bed but most of the time it is complete silence. Hang in there, tinnitus usually lose it's grip over time.

@Mymlan No, my tinnitus is not noise induced. It was a heavy wax buildup. After 8 months I resumed all of my favorite activities that I used to do before getting tinnitus. Because the tiniitus itself became less and less intrusive, and the volume of the sound in my tinnitus ear started to decrease which paved the way for me to forget about tinnitus and focus on what I want and like to do.

Two months in and greatly suffering. I miss my silence, and I honestly don’t know how to deal with this anymore.

I'm 15 months in and it has gotten better, perhaps not the noise but my reaction to it. Use masking to get your mind off of it and give it some more time. Do what you can to make it through the day, don't think about today or tomorrow what can you do to make it through today.

It’s just that I see zero improvement. It remains the same, and I hear multiply sounds, not just a ringing or so. This is a nightmare for me. I do what I can to get through the day, but it’s hard. This is not a life anymore.

It takes time Mymlan. There are many on this site, myself included, who were right where you are at two months. If you go to my first post and follow the thread you can see how long it took to start moving forward but the key is eventually you will start moving forward.
