Same! I no longer feel any kind of joy

I wonder if its somehow related to blood flow. My T does get a little louder when I exercise, it subsides shortly after I stop. Of course my T is variable all day long it seems so who knows.

Same. Has to be blood flow. Exercises makes my T so much worse. I loved to push my self. You pick yourself up to do yoga which is awesome. Only to be punished. That’s what sucks so bad.

my T also becomes louder when I bend over

my good days are when I don't have the electrical hiss that pulsates and circles my head. then I just have to deal with the incredibly loud static and 4-6kHz pure tones, which I'm pretty used to by now.

@MindOverMatter I hope to get to that level of peace with this condition some day. Right now I want to jump off a bridge.. I dont know how I get through every day but I do.

Same, I miss simply enjoying things with my kids. I dont know if I will ever get to using headphones again, I would be happy with just being happy.

It really sucks. Everything is just a distraction now. I’ve spent three years distracting myself. It’s so hard to explain that to others.

Sounds like a bit of fleeting tinnitus. I get that from time to time and it freaks me out but it always passes. Good luck with your new job!

Does ear protection help you?

@GG_Ear no. I’ve tried many kinds of earplugs. None work to block out the tones that are reactive. They’re too pervasive and low in volume and tone.

@Pinhead OK, so if you go out in public you don't wear any protection? I tried this and then I started getting pain. Ugh.

@GG_Ear No. No clue at all. It's an absolute nightmare. I can't even be outside, really. Cars, fans, heaters, and air conditioners all make it unbearable.

@Pinhead I'm similar. Stuck at home a lot. Do voices trigger your tinnitus? My neighbour's child cried really loudly getting out of their car, my window was open a little. His voice caused a piercing whistle in my ear. As soon as he stopped, my ear went back to normal....

@GG_Ear No, voices usually don't. It's mostly low, droning noises, like systems that are attempting to be 'quiet, like electric cars, fans, A/C, heaters, things like that. The worst I've found are box fans on the lowest setting.

I feel that... I lost 100lbs over the last year and a half.. was doing great at the gym... then got a massive kidney stone that resulted in 2 surgeries, gastritus from that, then they thought I had a heart issue which I did not and finally they prescribed anti-depressants which landed me with here with Tinnitus, havent been to the gym in 10 months...

Its certainly hard to try to do something that might result in it sounding worse, but it should be a temporary spike I would imagine. I should take my own advice.

How do you know that your ear hair cells are damaged?

How can one know if there hair cells are damaged? My hearing tests always come back 'normal'....yet I have tinnitus, sound distortion and hyperacusis?.... are hair cells damaged too in this case without hearing loss? I'm so confused haha

Tried to keep myself busy today by helping a friend move. It’s hard to get through each day. I miss that the most I think: control. Not needing to worry about what sounds will make my head scream.

I lost 18 when I first got T but then gained it all back. And then some.

Dizziness accompanied by tinnitus may be a symptom of Meniere's disease.

I think I may have it. It’s 6:30 am here and I was just woken up by a new tone. I think I am soon to be fully disabled.

In case of Meniere's disease, betahistine is often used to manage symptoms. You could consult your doctor about this.
