Feel life is 90% sadness, hurt and pain :( living only for the slight hope that it can be better, cause this is not living, it's existence

What would you like to know?? :) Mine is probably from listening too loud music trough headphones, it is VERY high pitched, about 15,000 hz. and I will compare the sound to an electric sound/a laser reading a dvd.....My dvd player makes a sound that is quite similar to my T actually :D

I am still in doubt whether the sound it self has actually lowered or if it is just my perception. Either way it is fairly little it has reduced in 5 months.

Sandra, haven't you mentioned you are not seeing a psychiatrist? I am just wondering about the medication you are using... Who did prescribed the medication then? I cannot get Venlafaxine prescribed without seeing a psychiatrist.

Yes, benzo's most definitely helped me in the beginning. I was a total mess and on the brink of committing suicide. THe benzo does not lower my T, but made me me more relaxed and indifferent to it.

I went through this in June. Where for 1 week my T dropped so much, it was bliss. Than it spiked. It's soooooooo tough when you finally get a break. Just to have it screaming back almost worse than before.

Now about 2 months later one of my worse T noises has almost been gone for a week. Focus on the fact that you're healing.

Maybe mask it for a while and get some peace. *hugs*

That is good news Sandra. This is a common occurrence in the habituation process. Please take each day as it comes for as I've previously mentioned, tinnitus fluctuates and you are very much still in the early stages. Embrace it and try to keep positive.
        All the best
        Michael
PS: It also shows that the medication that you are taking doesn't make the tinnitus worse. Contrary to what some members are quick to report.
