Actually don't know when it started. I have had what was very light case of high pitch "ring" that I only noticed once in a while and it did not bother me so did not realize it was a hearing condition. First found out what it was at first hearing exam about 9/2012 as part of startup of annual check up routine. Was not a noticeable concern until the last week when it got a louder, so now constantly aware of it, but don't know if because if is actually increasing or now keep thinking about it. It is still just a nuisance and not as bad at what it sounds like many are experiencing, but afraid may be so, and need to be prepared, and this forum seems like a great source.
