What is BB code? I'm clueless.
I'm only guessing when my tinnitus started and the cause. I've had tinnitus so long I don't remember when I first noticed it. With three small kids and a very busy schedule, there was probably enough noise in my life for me to give it little thought.
If your tinnitus sounds like crickets in the night woods, you'll understand what I hear constantly. Occasionally, other sounds join the crickets. Makes life interesting.
My "cure" is to never sit in silence. I am always listening to something on the radio (NPR) or music or TV. If my husband is controlling the volume, it actually hurts my ears.
When my first child was still small enough to carry in my arms, he would sometimes scream in sheer delight. Once he screamed directly into my left ear. I remember pain but I don't remember tinnitus. I probably didn't even know what tinnitus was or how to avoid getting it.
Doctors have recommended certain vitamins but none have ever recommended drugs or surgery. I'm 71. I doubt a cure for this irritating condition will come along in my lifetime.Interact
