Can you have high pitched electrical tinnitus with hydrops or menieres? Or is that just low? ETD maybe? Just trying to figure things out Jul 26, 2021 at 5:53 AM

Two months in and now my right ear has the reactive high pitched tone. Not sure how it shifted there or what it means

Prednisone has been weening off. Electric noise has been higher. Woke up with fullness in affected ear. This crap never gonna end

@kingsfan Can I just stay on prednisone forever? Lol they say this vax response is inflammation but I say it’s ear damage that happened. Been doing neck stretches and pulsating has been less too

Has anyone had fullness in ears feeling that comes on when bending over or laying down a certain way? It goes away when sitting or standing

What does "a certain way" mean? And what exactly caused your symptoms 15-20 years ago? And don't bend over if you don't have to.

@Backpacker laying on my left side may cause fullness feeling in left ear and vice versa. Bending over I feel rushing noise to ears and it may cause temporary fullness. 15-20 years ago it was a firecracker. Just had rushing fullness feeling past year. I’ve also used to hear rushing noise in back of skull my wife could hear years ago too. Mainly in mornings waking up. Now I have similar tinnitus noise

Had both MRI with contrast dye, and CT scan with iodine contrast dye, 6 years ago. Neither had any negative effect on me.

Were not good enough for me, ended up with a spike, but it was only temporary. Most people are ok after an MRI though. For pulsatile T, get an MRA as well. CT is quieter, but it's better for checking the bones, also it's a bit of radiation.

@Wrfortiscue You probably have reactive T which may be related to hyperacusis. Do you feel that some sounds are "too loud"? You don't have to feel "pain" in order to have hyperacusis. My 2 cents is; don't go around in earplugs 24/7 because that will make you more sensitive. Try to avoid the sounds which causes increases, while continuing to do that which works fine.

@Wrfortiscue Yeah that sounds a bit like hyperacusis, or some sensitivity. Also try to avoid sound that make you wince, since too much of those may cause a setback. It's sad, but with tinnitus and hyperacusis, we're walking a pretty tight rope of over-protection vs under-protection.

Could it be cubital tunnel syndrom? Does your pinky finger get numb and/or do you have hand weakness? Being a musician I've had to deal with both carpal and cubital tunnel syndrome.

I would say it really depends. I would try to eliminate it as much as possible. I'll have to find the source, but it was determined occlusion can increase sounds by up to 20 decibels or something like that. Try to get deeper fitting plugs or walk lighter like Matchbox said.
