        I’ve heard it all.
For most the effect are temporary.
Some people say they got better, some worse and most no effect, other than possibly losing the trick:)

I took it for 2,5 months, 2x24 mg/day, it's rutinly prescribed here. For me it was absolutely useless for the T, but some benefit from it for vertigo and dizziness. May cause stomach issues, but other than that, I think it's safe.

Cut your hair short so muffs sits better. Perhaps ask if you could drop the plastic hygiene wrapper they have..? Wear good plugs, don’t let them use audio inside muffs to speak with you.. no need just lay still or they could come into room and say what they want.

For a recent MRI. Got Mack's earplugs (silicon type from the earplug Store .and used the big muffs on top of ear plugs. Earmuffs were old Honeywell ones that gave 30 decibel protection from MRI staff..Definitely helped reduce sound but not perfect. Look for at least 30 decibel protection in muffs.

If it's more uncomfortable, then I'd consider it a worsening, since it's perception that ultimately determines how we handle it. But in terms of progression, it's widely considered that a change to a hiss indicates healing or a step in the right direction.

@Steph1710 thanks for reaching out. My T is basically 3 tones. Ringing in both ears which isn’t bad because it’s similar to my old T. Then 2 tones, oscillating pitch in my right and extremely high frequency eee eee eee in my left that flatlines all the times into a static tone then starts again intermittent. High frequency is very faint but I can feel it sometimes.
