I'm unable to go into loud environments (bars, lounges, restaurants) at the moment as my right ear (unilateral) tinnitus greatly increases if in noisy environments.

I'm wondering if any others on this board suffer from the same problems?

My right ear tinnitus (now 7-8 weeks) stems from head injury (concussion) i suffered from a a fall. Although my right ear tinnitus no longer constantly rings like it did in the beginning (or unless exposed to noise) I still have a swooshing beat sound. I feel like my brain needs loads of rest as i'm extremely sleep deprived since the accident.

Hope that it fades, however at most times feel incredibly unfortunate.

Yes. I have to wear plugs or it will ring louder for a week or so.

Martin... Look in the "Hyperacusis and Ear Pain" section lower down on the main TT page. Lots of info in there.
