      Hi Josh,

Welcome. I have gotten T in a similar way like you. I am about to unleash a bigger quest to look for best treatment methods.
The upcoming months this info will be expanded.
      Lets keep each other updated!

For now try to aim for habituation. If you have any questions let me know

      Cheers

Hi Josh and Welcome to TT!

There's lots of information on the site to help you. First, are you getting enough sleep? Getting enough sleep is perhaps the most important thing you can do! Making sure you have background noises when you sleep is very important; in fact, with new tinnitus, you probably should have some type of background noise on 24/7 to help minimize your noise. This site has some nice masking tracks you should try. Besides background/masking sounds, you might need a sleep supplement. I'll give you a link later to some supplements that have helped people.

Second, although it's important to keep background sounds on 24/7, you should also not worry about your tinnitus. Worrying about it--focusing on it, trying to measure it, etc.--only draws your attention to it. And that will raise you noise. Try to live your life normally--as if you didn't have tinnitus. Getting back to normal activities will help you feel better.

Third, your tinnitus is very new; for most people, tinnitus will resolve on its own within six months. This is also why it's important that you get back to normal activity. If you feel depressed, which is natural, you might see a psychologist or psychiatrist to help you.

Fourth, since you're eighteen, you might be eligible for the AM-101 trial. Read the thread about it and decide if you think you'd want to participate.

And remember you are not alone!

Here are two sleep threads, but there are many more if you do a "sleep" search:

Hey josh first off sorry you got T, but hearing the fact that you were in a motorcycle accident, im just happy it was not worse. You will pull through, there is great advice on here. One thing i would suggest is if you have specific question post on the support section, more people tend to see messages there. Your not alone buddy you can pm me if you need to talk.

      Hi Josh,

Do you still have T. Please provide an update on your T caused by Trauma. I can relate to you since my T also started 50 days after head trauma.

Mine started several months after falling on my head down stairs. Objective Pulsitile - MRI and CT fine muscles in neck cramp, vision blurs, headache, intermittent, various intensity, duration, psychological and physical triggers. Control with ice packs, massage neck muscles, relaxation , Physical therapy for neck, meditation, low intensity, stress reduction, isolation, no alcohol. Major re-injury twice trying to do manual labor after 1 year. Waiting for MRA for venous/arterial abnormality. Posture, Posture, Posture
Brain fog can be caused by a lot of things and can be helped with rest and ice, breathing exercises. How you doing?
