I have bilateral tinnitus and hyperacusis for 8 years. I woke up one night with this unexplained ringing. I habituated then it worsened after dental work last year. I was diagnosed with TMJD last year too.

The tinnitus got worst more than a month back for reasons that I still cannot accept. I can hear it over the television, computer, rain - things that normally mask it well.

I am back in the dumps.

 

I am sorry to hear that, I'm in the same boat as you at the moment. Hopefully somehow we can make it, not sure how.
