      Hey guys,
I just realized a couple of days ago that the sound of a fan, brown noise, even rain doesn't sound like it once did to me. I'm trying to find a noise at night that I can have in my bedroom that will help me sleep, but when I put anything on, except for maybe chanting, I hear this variable or distortion in the sound. For example, when I put pink noise on it doesn't sound like one constant sound, I hear the constant sound with a variable distorted one. As soon as I turn the sound app off the variable sound goes away. It doesn't seem to be my T, since I don't hear it when I don't have a noise generator or fan on.

Seems like everything I try to mask the T at night annoys me with the variable distortion whirl in my ear when it should be a constant sound.

      Anyone experiencing that?

I feel for you Gobi. I can't say that I have what you have (that sounds terrible). But what I do have is a re-occurrence of T. My T seemed to have disappeared after about 3 months, and it would come back occasionally. But since last Thursday, it seems to be back permanently once again (who knows, maybe it will go again).

My goal this time is to try to habituate, so that it doesn't matter to me whether it comes or goes. Dr. Nagler said he is to the point where he doesn't need to obsess over a cure. I want to be at that point. I don't want to spend so much time thinking of my tinnitus anymore.

Suffering is a part of this life; there is no getting around it.

Sorry to hear that MattK. I just wish I could at least listen to white noise or a fan without hearing a distortion. One more thing to deal with. Not what I needed to say the least.

No doubt... :\ I really wish I could offer some type of help. Maybe ask Dr Nagler in the doc's corner. I don't know what the limits of TRT is, but maybe that could help you.

Ill post something over in the docs corner. It sucks that even pink noise or brown noise causes a distortion in my hearing. Very odd.

Hi @Gobi, I'm new to TT. I recently started experiencing a distortion when I try to mask my T with a fan. How did you manage this? Did it go away? I keep hearing a wa wa wa sound. Thank you
