    1. Dr. Tzounopoulos and Dr. Peter Wipf, also from Pittsburgh University, have developed a new compound for tinnitus which is structurally related to the FDA approved epilepsy drug, Retigabine. The new compound, known as RL-81, is now in the pre-clinical test phase which is a required step before human testing is initiated.
