Earache and Tinnitus?

I began to notice T more after a wedding (see this thread: https://www.tinnitustalk.com/threads/long-night.1772/ ) and have been concentrating on habituating again recently, and its been better today. I have just been getting on with life. However I am now noticing a dull earache has appeared, and sounds feel 'louder'. Is this just a mental thing with me trying to hear more stuff over my T or have I got more issues? As I said on the other thread, I have earwax buildup, but I don't want to keep syringing for obvious reasons (more T!)

Your problem seems to be more of a physical issue than anything else. As you probably know T is very much a brain-and-hearing system issue. If I were you I would get a physical assessment in regards to your earache. I also have some aching from time to time, but I can't really find anything that supports any links to that and my T and/or H, but this is just my personal assessments.

Can't edit my post but I just wanted to add that my ENT didn't take my physical sensations in conjunction with my T serious at all. I have cramps and aches but he brushed it off as being part of my T, have u ever heard something more stupid? It seems like having T&H makes all other conditions to the ear impossible. Weird. ENT "specialist" should not be taken serious if they don't take T&H seriously anyways.

When I initially got my (noise induced) T, it came with a deep ear pain, from the damage I caused the ear canal. After getting up this morning feeling better, and then going to work, I'm connecting this pain to a muscle issue rather than ear, as I've also got some shoulder pain. I think my upper body muscle group may be having some issues.

The trouble I find is pain around the ear makes T significantly harder to ignore as my mind continually flips to "what's causing that pain..?", then I hear my ears ring, and then I'm off. Fortunately in my job (farming) there's always some sort of noise to cover the ring. At work I never hear it. It's working in the office or trying to sleep when it comes alive, as it does for everyone. It's just a shame I'm struggling so much to habituate again.

How did you get that physical ear diagnose? My ENT said that's impossible to get a visual reference of the inner ear. Seems to me that all they can really in fact see the outer ear?

I didn't, my doctors inference was that attending rock concerts regularly without earplugs damaged my inner ear, as well as working on loud tractors, causing the pain after the last exposure.
