Referred to a Neurologist — Does It Make Sense for Tinnitus?

I went to my primary doctor to get an MRI on my neck and they want to send me to the neurologist. Any comments? Does this make sense for my tinnitus? They said the neurologist can give me an MRI.

Also the primary doctor said tinnitus usually comes from the ears, not the brain. They don't know nothing.

 

I thought an MRI had to be done at a radiology facility. I had an MRI of the head done there. My ENT sent me. Maybe a neurologist can do an ultrasound of the neck? What is it they are checking? The nerves, etc. If so then yes an MRI. If they are looking at the blood vessels then you need an ultrasound or an MRA.

 

Who knows what they are checking... They are booked up for 4 months anyways.
