Tinnitus Tied to DPOAE Measures?

      Tinnitus sufferers could have normal pure tone audiograms but how many T sufferers have absent DPOAE's ?

      It seems vast majority of chronic T sufferers have absent DPOAES in the 6-8KZ frequencies.

      DPOAE might be a good test to consider.

      distortion otacoustic emission test that most ENTS should analyze.

      i'd be curious to see some DPOAE test results from those who can't figure out how they ended up with T.

      I have all present OAEs. Audiologist said I passed with flying colors. Also good, normal range audiogram. But still have t.

      Cause of Tinnitus:
      ototoxicity/infection
      I had that test .. it was normal ..least according to current standards which is only to the range upto 8k.
