It does for most. When I first got T I was getting 3 hours a night max for about 2 months. I put on quiet rain noise through my phone now and get 7/8 hours most nights. Stay strong
During the worst prolonged spike in over 30 years, I averaged 2-3 hours of sleep a night. Like you, I tried a number of things that did not help.
I finally went on an AD. I was sleeping much better in less than 10 days. I went off the AD after four months. I've had no problem sleeping ever since.
Although, used as a last resort, sometimes strong meds do help. I hope that things improve for you very soon!
@jimH Can I ask you which AD you took? Still having very, very poor sleep. Very sparingly I take 0,25-0,5 Frontin (Xanax), but it does nothing. OK, quitens down my T for a couple of hours, but doesn't help with sleeping.
I used Effexor. I later found out that some members had very bad experiences with it. Just use the forum "search" and read some of the posts.
Therefore, I would suggest that you DO NOT take it. I was lucky being that it did not affect my T.
