it was bound to happen, but on 3/3/2014 I got a cold for the first time with my tinnitus. does a cold make tinnitus worse? what experiences have you had? for me its definitely a pain, sleeping and going through the day with a stuffy nose and the ringing.

Hi ben, during a cold your tinnitus could sound higher because your tubes can be full of mucus etc, but it's only temporary, once your cold clears any increases will go back down to baseline.

Once you experience a few colds you can relax a bit more knowing any changes usual pass once the cold does. I was worried the first time I had a cold as well, you'll be fine. :)
