      My doc just told me to quit mirtazapine 30mg I've been on for months and take olanzapine (zyprexa)

      I have extreme anxiety and depression.
      Just started Zoloft 9 days ago as well.
      Also added keppra 250 prob for tinnitus since I don't have seizures.
      And Valium for anxiety.

      Does this sound crazy?

      @Larry OT

      Sounds pretty standard to me actually. I'm on different but equivalent medication myself. Don't feel bad about it. Anxiety and depression are a total pain in the ass, and are unfortunately very common co-morbidities for a tinnitus sufferer. It sounds like your doc is really trying cover all your bases. He or she is trying to treat your anxiety and depression, as well as doing what he or she can for the tinnitus as well. Hang in there. If you can get your anxiety and depression under control, the tinnitus really isn't such a big deal at all.

      It just takes work, time, and sometimes some professional help with medication to get us there!

      The valium makes the anxiety go very manageable. Do you take something similar ongoing?

      Yes, I do. I take clonazepam, a benzodiazepine like Valium. I also take lexapro.
