I feel you mate, I do.
A lot of fda approved drugs are ototoxic. It's sucks. But I guess a lot of medications have risks.

Keep your head ups I am 22, I just have had my onset and I have a young son.

      I know it's a struggle.

I just don't think MDMA would help. As it affects the brain it would probably even make it worse.

guys be VERY careful with MDMA. This board is littered with people on benzos and SSRIs, etc. The combo of this can potentially cause SERATONIN SYNDROME which will make your tinnitus seem like a sunny day.

You cannot mix these drugs safely.

Good thing you said this. I got my T from benzo w/d and I'm now on mirtazapine.

I'm except for my T also suffering from a 10+ year anxiety condition that no one seem to be able to diagnose properly. I've never done MDMA but might try it in the future for both my conditions. I will definitely test my substance before i use it though. Taking a regulated dose, knowing that the MDMA is not cut with anything, is not very likely to be dangerous as far as I've understood.

You could be "allergic" to it though, so might be a good idea to do a micro-dose first to test it out.

Completely agreed with Tom, anything like this needs to be taken with extreme caution.

I honestly wouldn't do it at all.

I went through a time in my life experiencing drugs.

And I'm not sure how much was in the MDMA I had. But it leaves you very tired and worn out the next few days. And not in the good way. Also can make you angry.

      The druggos call it "scattering".

I honestly would stay away from drugs that have effect on the brain unless it's had clinical trials and proven to work while being safe

      MDMA is amazing.
      I've eaten tons.

But safety first. This is not bluelight.org and many here need to know what not to mix.

I don't say this from a saintly perspective (impossible to, having been a part of house culture) but I would not use street MDMA directly to treat tinnitus.

Serotonin is a tinnitus modulator. You will feel better whilst on it but afterwards when you have a drop it is likely that you will experience the opposite and spike.

It's just a drug, like any of the legally available ones, the difference is that you can't count on the purity at street level. Plus there isn't anything to help you understand when it is and isn't beneficial for you, such as if you're taking a dose that is potentially harmful to your tinnitus.

I definitely agree that extreme caution should be taken, no doubt. I've also heard about that the come-down can be nasty, but odly enough, my closer friends who have done it say they instead get what's called an after glow, keeping them in super good mood and spirit for days afterwards.

I guess knowing that the stuff you're taking is pure will help minimize the risk for a shitty come down, but other than that I'd imagine luck and genetics play a big role as well.

I took Mdma and i confirm it lower down my T and last few days .
But it s true you must be careful and take a low dose

I hope one day we ll find a cure or something can reduce the volume of our T beside those drugs with so much side effects
At least mdma on top of reducing T give some very good side effect :)

@jacob21 would you say that it lowered your T or eliminated it? If it just reduced it, by how much? 50%? Did the T reduction effect last after the other drug effects wore off?

I would say reduce it by 80 % or more . Like a small Shhhh.... instead horrible high pitch

Effect reduction last 48 hours at least.

I am sure there is a something doctors should study around Mdma

If it gives a relief for couple of days, then is it safe to do it two times in a week?

If you used MDMA two times in one week every once in a while I doubt there would be any major complications. If you were to use MDMA two times a week for an extended period of time, it wouldn't take long at all before significant side effects and complications would start to arise. The euphoric effects of MDMA come from it's powerful effect on the serotonin receptors on the user. With extended use this could lead to things like serotonin syndrome, which is an extremely serious medical emergency.......Long story short, MDMA's positive effects on Tinnitus would be quickly overpowered by it's extremely negative effects on the mental cognition and serotonin functions of the users brain.

In my personal experience even single nights of MDMA use can require a considerable recovery period, based on things like dosage, hydration, etc. MDMA and Ecstasy "addicts" are commonly called "E-Tards" for a reason.....extended use of MDMA can and in most cases will cause significant cognitive and functional deficits.

      Hope this info helps!

I've heard of this before, certainly would not advise using ecstasy off the street, it's a very dangerous drug, but there is an obvious element within it that needs fine-tuned and discovered that can alleviate (some) T. Unfortunately, as the article states, research on MDMA is slow-moving, likely because it's a banned substance. I agree with the potential for drug abuse and side effects, but that's also applicable to valium which some have said helps with T. There is something in these drugs that is helping T, and hopefully more research is carried out to find out exactly what the process is and how it can be administered safely. Good luck all!

Very good point. If only doctors could provide pure MDMA in special cases to be taken under hospital supervision.

with all the recent news about MDMA and tinnitus studying I'd be surprised if nobody here tried it.

I'll be the first to tell you. MDMA makes tinnitus go away for the night, FOR SURE. Completely.

Test your product. Kits are sold online. Don't mix MDMA with anything that affects seratonin. This $15 should not be skipped if you do indulge in drug use. https://www.amazon.com/Marquis-Ehrl...90109641&sr=8-2&keywords=reagent+drug+testing

let me preface this by saying I don't encourage drug use at any regular cadence, and I've only imbibed once.

Rolling with not give you a permanent increase. Or even a temporary one as the case may be. Jurgen you've had tinnitus for 3 months. It'll get better with time.
