Hi guys. I have not been here in some months. The last months my T have really gone back in volume. I can still not be in noisy places for a long time. Like bars, gatherings, cities etc. I can, but I get the punishment after it in form of loud tinnitus and ear pain. Except from that, life is pretty good when it comes to tinnitus.

However. After all this months with loud T. I think my body have taken some damage in form the shock reaction and all the stress. I have a lot of different pains. Headache, shoulder pain, pain all over body some times. Its this weird pain, I can't really tell where it comes from. Sometimes it even feels like its outside on the skin, all over the body. I also have some weird pressure feelings around my head. Like someone is holding my head and pressing with their fingertips..

Anyone else experienced something like this after they got tinnitus?

Sorry to hear that you are suffering from aches and pains all over. I can relate to some of these symptoms of shifting aches and pains from my days of anxiety/panic disorder and days after T hit. If you check out with the doctors that you have no hidden medical cause for them, then perhaps these are just symptoms for anxiety and you can deal with anxiety instead of them. Make sure you get enough rest & recreation to de-stress the body. Here is one of the links on aches and pains all over from anxiety:

Yeah, some of that stuff in the link makes sense. Hypersensitivity seems to make the most sense. After I got T. I have changed from being a "outward" person doing a lot of stuff, to a "inward" person mostly doing stuff home or near home. Last summer (before tinnitus) I was in 7 different countries. This summer I have almost not been out of my town out in "rural" Norway.

I'm going to a four weeks rehabilitation camp in 3 weeks for people with tinnitus, hyperacusis, muscle pain, fibromyalgi etc. Can't wait, I hope they fix me up 100%. :D

I have also found that stretching helps a lot. I have followed some Yoga stuff on YouTube.

      Hi, Meeruf,

It's good to hear from you again! I'm sorry you're having problems with generalized aches and pains, etc. I experienced some of that during the first year of my tinnitus/pulsatile tinnitus. It was most likely due to extreme anxiety, stress, lack of sleep, etc.

It's great that you have a found a rehabilitation camp for people with tinnitus, hyperacusis, fibromyalgia, and other ailments. I wish we had something like that here in the U.S.!

Good luck, and let us know how you're feeling after you've attended the camp.

      Best wishes,
      Karen

Hey Meeruf. Thought about you yesterday and that you were longer not here, which is of course good for you.
The side effects I have are stomache issues and some kind of exhaustion (depression). I can also imagine that you are still under stress/anxiety because of the past months or since you fear a louder T. I am sure, time will heal.

What kind of camp is that? Is it a support group going camping or ist it some sort of treatment camp?

It's a treatment camp with a doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and psychologists. They help people with tinnitus, menier's, people with worn-out symptoms, muscle pain, etc. They also help people who have lost their legs, help them to walk again with prostheses.

I will stay there for 4 weeks. It starts 5. August. It's under the public healthcare system in Norway. So I just have to pay a small contribution, like 20$ a day. You get food and everything there. That's almost free. It's 20 people in my group.
