What's my frequency (Kenneth?)

I have been reading up on this thread https://www.tinnitustalk.com/threads/acoustic-cr®-neuromodulation-do-it-yourself-guide.1469/page-9 and thought I would test it. However, I'm having trouble pinpointing my tinnitus frequency. How do you know when you hit the right one? Is it when the tone first completely masks your own tinnitus sound? I also tried on a commercial site where they have frequency testing but they said it was too low and I should get an audiologist to test it. My result was ca 200 hz, is that abnormal? Am I doing it completely wrong? I know it's low, but my tinnitus is very low, like a droning motor sound. Can any of you wise people here advise me, please?

 

200hz isn't abnormal. The treatment is designed for 100Hz upwards.

 

low frequencies tinnitus are usually menier's decease

 

You can have any kind of tinnitus with menieres. Low frequency tinnitus is just low frequency tinnitus.
