Ok, I was just wondering if it were possible to get tested for hyperacusis / hearing sensitivity.

Ok, do you get pain or worsened tinnitus after listening to the radio or being in the mall? As in does doing these things immediately impact your tinnitus or are you just worrying that it might?

Couldnt hurt to keep the volume down a bit for the meantime and avoid super noisy places for a few weeks. But you can still go places and do things

its hard because in the back of my mind is noise induce tinnitus and every noise i fear will trigger the real T I haven't whet even Back to work yet due to this I do extra work out in Hollywood I refuse to Take T with me to a casting even I don't want my T to be with me as I do a tv show because I will look back when im better and say that where I had T and it will stay on film forever i will not share my spotlight with T

It's normal to worry. At my onset I FREAKED at any noise.
But then I realised that if I went overboard with keeping everything quiet, it would just make things harder in the long run as i felt I'd make myself more even sensitive.

I wouldn't be going to any rock concerts, but everyday noise is fine x

Don't worry live your life normally, these small noises aren"t going to make anything to you.

How loud is your husband playing the radio in the car? If he's playing it excessively loud (which is SUPER common actually) then you are definitely in the right to tell him to keep it at a level that you feel comfortable with - he can blast it however loud he wants when you're not around, easy. Don't let other people dictate how you should react to sound, just do what you feel comfortable with.

I don't know your back story, but just be smart with how you expose yourself to sound. Get some decent ear plugs and have them handy if you think you're going to be stuck somewhere loud (bars, clubs, cinemas, loud parties, etc) - even if your tinnitus does dissipate with your congestion, this is still the smart thing to do to protect your from ever having to deal with tinnitus again.

My girlfriend also made a weird face at me when she went to throw one of those popper things that you pull the string and they go "pop"! And i covered my ears and shes like its not even that loud!!! But idc im not chancin any small loud noise to make this shit worse... But ive been pretty good with music so far.. My family is wild and partyers and almost every weekend they got music blaring and so far my ears have not gotten worse!
