As I move through week 7 of my Tinnitus -- a high-pitched constant sound in both of my ears, but louder a bit on the left -- I've been experimenting with anti-inflammatory treatment, including using @engineerLA's outlined neti-pot hydration method for Eustachian Tube inflammation. One thing that I've noticed is that my T is starting to alternate between the left ear and right ear - that's to say that it completely resolves in one of the ears (usually the left), and is then suddenly much more noticeable in the other ear (and louder).

I've read that alternation of T between ears is pretty common among sufferers. However, I was wondering if you could tell me more about your experiences with this. In my case, the alteration lasts several hours for no apparent reason. Right now, for instance, my left ear is almost completely resolved/silent but my right ear is screaming at a 5/10 or 6/10.

Is this usually a sign of something going on? Or just my brain playing tricks on me?
