Hey guys. Been checking out post for a week or so Now butthis is my first post.

I have had T now for about 6 weeks due to hearing lose in my left ear. During they day I dont seem to hear it much unless I am listening for it. But at night I feel that it affects me more and in both ears. Im not sure wether it is the fact that I am looking for it more at this time o the day.

At this time I just play the shower running on you tube to get to sleep. It is quite calming.

its good to know that im not alone as I have felt that way dor the last 4 weeks after being told there is nothing I can do about it.

I am seeing a good audiologist on Wednesday who has had good success with habituation. I am also going to ask if a hearing aid may help with thw t as I have heard they can.

That's fantastic you don't hear it much during the day! Not to play down your T but there are plenty of people who would love to be able to ignore it most of the day, so that's something to be thankful for :) but I think most of us hear it more loudly at night when it's quieter.

I'll have to try a shower noise when I'm masking at night - at the moment wind chimes seem to work for me - although my husband hates it!
