I have had hypercusis for about 5 months and I have a couple of questions. Is is normal to feel like you have unbalanced hearing when you have H in only one ear? Everything is louder and more clear in the H ear. My ENT said my audiogram was fine but I feel my speech recognition is off right now. Can H affect speech recognition? Would a hearing aid make it better or worse? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

You are right. people often say that their hearing becomes more acute in the affected ear.
