That's right, I gave my tinnitus a name and it's Tinkerbell. Cheesy, ain't it? :)
Much easier if it gets too bad, cause I can say stuff like 'shut up, Tinkerbell!'.
Tinkerbell also helps me in a way. If I have too much stress, she just let's me know by whistling a bit harder. Or if I watch a lame movie, she'll just start beeping, so I can get out of my 'mindless-staring-a-dumb-movie' mode and do something interesting...

So Lord of the Ring - Tinnitus (Tinkerbell) is not a problem for you?

No, not all of the time. The whooshing sound (sorry, I still have trouble to describe the sound it makes in English, I mean sizzling, hissing, it all kinda fits) actually helps me to fall asleep, I don't have panic attacks or anxiety and most of the day, I can detach myself from it.
It only becomes more noticeable when I'm driving my car or when I'm watching TV, but during the day, when I wake in a quiet environment, I doesn't seem to bother me that much.
Very a-typical, I know, usually it's the other way around: people need noise to distract them from their tinnitus.
