So I've been working on my computer the other day because it was making a weird clicking noise and i didn't know where it was coming from, so i decided to open up the side panel and get as close as i could to the computer while the computer is on to locate the source of the noise. I eventually found out what was causing the noise and replaced the noisy part, but after a few hours, my left ear started to make a ringing noise and up until now (2 days later) the ringing is still going on in my left ear. Does anyone know if computers give off harmful radiation that could cause Tinnitus or know anything about what could be going on with my left ear? thanks.

I highly doubt your computer would emit something that causes T, maybe you have an allergy to some material used in your computer? Or you got an electric shock? just a thought :) 2days isn't so long it probably will pass thats what i think ;)

Thanks for the reply Chronicburn. I really hope what you're saying is right. I haven't had allergies or got an electric shock from the computer since I didn't even touch it. I was thinking maybe its a symptom of some of my other health issues that i have. I did a ct scan on my abdomen a few weeks ago and I got the results . They found a prominence of the pancreatic head and possible filling defects in the stomach.(polyps). I looked up some of the causes of these things and they sound kinda scary. A year ago another ct scan also found 2 very small nodules in my lungs. I have no idea what i have or whats going on with my body. Its as if everyday i wake up everyday with a new health problem and its really frustrating the doctors i'm seeing aren't helping me at all. I'm going to pay a visit to the ER tomorrow and hope they give me some answers.

Succes with that man, let us know if it gets solved! if it was really serious your doctor would surely have told you, but indeed, as long as it isn't serious in their eyes they just seem to not care too much :( the bright side is that in most cases the diagnosis is more difficult than the treatment :)

Do you think electromagnetic fields could actually be the cause of my Tinnitus? i had two doctors look at me today and all they said they saw was wax and didn't help me in anyway. All they did was give me Debrox to clear wax from my ear and Mason natura Ear Health Formula to "improve blood circulation in the ear.
If I have tinnitus now because I decided to fix a computer for 5 minutes then this would just be a cruel joke. I don't think i'll be able to live with it at all.
