      Hi All,
I'm new to this forum. I just wondered if the treatment that people get in London, where you listen to a frequency similar to the noise you are hearing.. is any good if you have more than one noise in your head?
I have had tinnitus for more years than I care to remember. But I have several noises in both ears and also a noise like an aeroplane that seems to be behind me... all the time. I have to ask my husband if there is a plane going over (if it is at night ). Would the treatment work with all these noises?
I get so very grumpy all the time. I live in a very quiet part of the countryside, and I dislike the radio and TV. I would give anything for a bit of piece and quiet.
      Love Twinny x

      Hi twinny,

the treatment you are talking about in London is ACRN for Acoustic Coordinate Reset Neuromodulation.

The treatment is very expensive and does not work on everybody, even if you all the requirements, but it's a very new treatment so maybe in a few years we will know better.

The treatment is for tonal tinnitus between 200hz and 8000hz: tonal means it's a steady sound like the tone of a telephone and it doesn't matter if there are multiple sounds.
