      Dear Community,

I'm curious to know if this has a positive effect for anyone else. I'm not even sure why I myself tried it myself to begin with, but it does appear to reduce tinnitus sounds for me, at least temporarily.

As the thread title states, I plug my ears gently and softly say "Om" (as in the meditation technique), and I do this with my eyes closed. Not exactly something most of us could do all day at work, but perhaps it would offer relief during spikes, etc.

I'm incorporating this into my nighttime meditation routine where I attempt to "train my brain" to fixate on what I believe to be silence.

      Take care!

Hey @Ehren M! I confirm that this works for me, at least it provides me a relief for more or less 20 minutes. I use it when I really want to "feel the silence again"

Below there's a YouTube video showing the technique (it starts at 2:27):

@Ehren M, @MCN, I'd like to try this -- so fingers are actually going into your ear canals (can't tell from the angle in the video where exactly he is putting his fingers, and don't understand Spanish). Would doing this while wearing ear muffs work?
