I was out to dinner in an amusement park and wore my ear plugs during dinner. I was surprised how LOUD chewing is. I can appreciate the low volume of T in comparison. I slept the best I've slept in the past 3 weeks last night even with the volume on my nature sounds lower. My left ear rings louder than my right. My preference is to fall asleep on my left side, which I haven't been able to do since the T started. Last night I hardly noticed the T in my left ear.

It seems that you have only had tinnitus for a very short time. At this acute phase it might still be that your T will vanish or become more quiet. You said you didn't notice the T in your ear last night, that's a good sign. Even if it isn't going to disappear altogether, it looks that you will be able to get used to it quiet easily.

Yes, thank you, Riikka. I saw the doctor this morning. It turns out I have a sinus infection with fluid in both ears. That could also be contributing to the tinnitus. I'm not on antibiotics. We'll see if it makes a difference in the T.
