Will This Ringing Ever Go Away?

Hi I've started with ringing in my left ear. I went to my doctors and I'm sure he said its a viral ear infection or middle ear infection which is near or on the ear nerve which is causing the ringing


Will this ringing ever go away. He said no tablets will clear and hopefully it will go after 6 weeks

 

In the vast majority of cases tinnitus seems to resolve on its own within the fist few months. This board is populated exclusively by the minority of folks for whom that was not the case; it might be reassuring to keep that in mind. Time is on your side.
