@TomK I see the meds are working. That's great. What caused your tinnitus? Does it react to external sound?

My Tinnitus started like 8 years ago from loud machines and loud music, it has a blend of hyperacusis as well, where I cannot stand many sounds because they make my T rise.
Noise outside doesn't affect me much. Music does, my refrigerator is very bothersome. At times I watch tv with no sound while I read the closed captioning, tv does make me crazier!
        WEIRD.
The meds are still working pretty good so far.

The world has to be in chaos for the Anti-Christ to come in "the name of peace." One world religion, one world government. But it'll be a trap. True peace is found only in Christ. It'll calm down when the true King returns. ❤️

Keep the stress down in your lives for less tinnitus. Prop your head up when lying down to keep the blood flow minimal in your head.

Gabapentin helps mine to a degree. I don't take it for extended periods because I'm also afraid it will stop working if I do.

@Ryan Scott I got mine from an ENT at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center

I had an MRI on my brain, the inner workings of my ears and no tumors were found which could be causing the tinnitus.
Doc hooked me up with the meds, he said he's heard they lower tinnitus so try em out. I have 3 refills.

The more I do the worse my tinnitus gets because of physical activity, the blood pressure rises as I do things, the tinnitus follows along.

@TomK Thats very common, but its only temporary. In the long run, physical activity outplays the down in such regard. This also gets better with time, as you just stop to care much about those temporary fluctuations.

    Tinnitus Since:
    2013
    Cause of Tinnitus:
Loud machines, music, partying in front of band PA systems.
CNC Machinist for 11 years and Former Drug and alcohol counselor for 26 years. I ran 4 halfway houses for 10 years as well.

Tinnitus is the most aggravating thing I have ever come across in my life. It gets so bad I have suicidal ideations.
How can I live with VERY LOUD HISSING IN MY HEAD DAILY?
I am alone because of T. I can't go visit people and tell them to quiet down or shut up the kids. So I sit here and watch closed caption TV all by my lonesome.
I put on sound-proof headphones and live under my rock.
I'm sick of seeing ENT's, Docs period. They can't do shit.
The actual T clinics here in Minneapolis want $500 cash up front before they will talk to you.

I am thinking about "living in van down by the river" and smoking fat joints of ganja until it's ok to come out of my van.
